The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We will discuss your concerns, goals, current challenges and relevant history. Together we'll begin to identify what you hope to gain from therapy and develop a plan that feels supportive and meaningful.
People seek therapy for many reasons including, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, parenting concerns, self-esteem challenges and a desire for personal growth. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you're unsure whether therapy is a good fit, I welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns during a consultation.
Most clients begin with weekly sessions, as progress is made session frequency may be adjusted, based on your needs, goals and preferences.
The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some individuals seek support for a specific issue over a relatively short period of time, while others benefit from longer term work, focused on deeper patterns, personal growth or ongoing support.
I am an out of network provider and do not participate directly with insurance plans. If your insurance plans include Out of network mental health benefits, I can provide a super bill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement amounts vary based on plan. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance company to understand your specific benefits and reimbursement rates.
