My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by a lifelong curiosity about people, health and what helps us thrive. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in several fields dedicated to human health and well being. I earned my degree in nursing, became a certified personal trainer and ultimately found my professional home, as a clinical social worker. While each role offered valuable insights, they all reinforced the same belief: people are far more than a diagnosis, symptom or challenge. Every person has a unique story, set of experiences, strengths and innate wisdom that deserve to be understood.
My approach to therapy is rooted in curiosity, authenticity and connection. I believe that meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely seen, understood and accepted. I see clients as whole individuals who already possess many of the answers they are seeking. Often life's experiences, stressors, relationships and expectations can make it difficult to access that inner knowledge. Therapy provides a space to slow down, explore and reconnect with what is already there.
With extensive clinical experience, it has been a true privilege to support clients through a wide range of life’s challenges and to continue learning from each person I work with. As a parent of four children, I bring a grounded and down to earth understanding of family life and parenting- many families find it helpful and reassuring to know I’m navigating this parenting journey alongside you.
While he isn't particularly helpful with managing day to day operations of the practice, he's an excellent companion and constant reminder to appreciate the simple joys in life.
